Arson
|
Any willful or malicious burning or attempt to burn, with or without intent to defraud, a dwelling house, public building, motor vehicle or aircraft, personal property of another, etc.

To purposely start a fire. This could be in or outside of a building, including trash cans, natural vegetation and forested areas.
|

Assault
|
An unlawful physical attack upon another; an attempt or offer to do violence to another, with or without battery.
|
To be physically hit by a fist or weapon. To be threatened by a person holding a weapon. Whether used or not. Any offer to do bodily harm.

Dating Violence
|
“Dating violence” means violence by a person who has been in a romantic or intimate relationship with the victim. Whether there was such relationship will be gauged by its length, type, and frequency of interaction.

|
Domestic Violence
|
“Domestic violence” includes asserted violent misdemeanor and felony offenses committed by the victim's current or former spouse, current or former cohabitant, person similarly situated under domestic or family violence law, or anyone else protected under domestic or family violence law.

General Complaint
|
To report a perceived deficiency, problem or safety issue at the college.
|
This is a general area that problems incurred or seen by the college community can be reported by them. Items such as safety issues, broken or non functioning items (lights/handicap doors), problems with faculty/staff/security can all be reported.

Harassing Phone Calls
|
Unwanted phone calls of an annoying or harassing nature.
|
Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc with or without a known suspect.
|
|
Hate Crime
|
A crime that violates the victim's civil rights and that is motivated by hostility to the victim's race, religion, creed, ethnicity/national origin, sexual orientation, disability or gender.

I was intentionally selected by a perpetrator's bias and received bodily injury or had property damaged or defaced.
|
|
Larceny / Theft
|
The act of stealing; the wrongful taking and carrying away of the personal goods or property of another; larceny.
|
Any personal property that has been stolen. For example: Book, book bag, electronic device etc.
|
|
MVA Hit & Run
|
Guilty of fleeing the scene of an accident or injury one has caused, esp. a vehicular accident, thereby attempting to evade being identified and held responsible: a hit-and-run driver.

Your vehicle has been damaged by what appears to be another vehicle hitting it. No note was left.
|
|
Robbery
|
The taking or attempting to take anything of value from the care, custody, or control of a person or persons by force or threat of force or violence and/or by putting the victim in fear.
|
A subject approaches you and, by force or by threats, takes something from you, such as a purse, wallet or other belonging.
|
|
Sex Offenses-Forcible
|
Any sexual act directed against another person, forcibly and/or against that person's will; or not forcibly or against the person's will where the victim is incapable of giving consent.
|
Any and all unwanted sexual acts such as touching and rape can and should be reported.
|
|
Sexual Harassment
|
The EEOC has defined harassment on the basis of sex as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct... when:
1. Submission to such conduct is made explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual's employment, evaluation or grade
2. Made the basis for employment, evaluation or grade decisions affecting such individuals
3. Such conduct has the purpose or effect of substantially interfering with an individual's work or school performance.

Any instance where sexual advances are unwanted and it has become a problem in the work place or classroom. Such as persistent requests for dates or actions such as a hug.

Stalking
|
“Stalking” means a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to fear for her, his, or others' safety, or to suffer substantial emotional distress.

|
Threat
|
A declaration of an intention or determination to inflict punishment, injury, etc., in retaliation for, or conditionally upon, some action or course.
|
A threat was made to get/harm you at some point because you asked too many questions during class.
|
|
Vandalism
|
Deliberately mischievous or malicious destruction or damage of property: vandalism of public buildings.
|
To damage or deface property by breaking, writing or painting on a surface such as a wall or bathroom stall.
